Helping People and Business Ride the Learning Cycle

Learning happens in a cycle. If we pay attention to the cycle while we're in it, we can learn more effectively and more efficiently. It's like riding a bicycle: if we stop pedaling, we fall. But if we keep pedaling, and pay attention to our balance, we can move quickly wherever we want to go.

When we're learning—whether it's on the job, in a class, or informally from the Web or a co-worker—actively pushing ourselves along the cycle of learning helps us to learn better and it make us into better learners in the process.

The business of business is learning. It's how we:

  • Adapt to ever-changing business conditions
  • Increase sales by discovering more about our customers' needs
  • Keep up with changing technology
  • Grow leaders from within
  • Improve productivity
  • Generate new ideas
  • Improve response time
  • Cut losses due to errors and mistakes

Isn't this what you want happening in your business and among your employees or co-workers?

I'm John Labbe and my mission is helping people become more productive on the job. In my nearly thirty years in training and adult education, I've watched thousands of people learn new skills, adopt new technologies, and learn to solve real problems in innovative ways. It's my experience that the most productive people are the ones who learn most effectively.

In addition, good learners on the job are happier employees. A job can be—and ought to be—a source of joy, pride, and satisfaction. My workshops and presentations help people achieve these things by showing them how to get the most out of their learning skills and by helping them develop stronger strategies for learning on the job.
